Carrying Positions

The Cradle Carry
The
Cradle Carry and its
variations are useful from birth throughout the first year. Some babies enjoy
riding semi-upright in the sling while others prefer nestling more horizontally.

Forward Facing Carry
Once your baby has developed good head control along with a
growing sense of curiosity he or she may want to see more.

The Cuddle Carry
A most comforting and calming position useful from birth to six months. Lift
your baby up a little so that his or her head nestles into your neck.

The Hip Carry
Once your baby can sit without support, you and your baby will
enjoy the hip carry. Baby's bottom rests on your hip while his or her legs
protrude from the sling and straddle your side.

Around The Back
This carry is used before
your baby reaches the crawling stage. This is perfect for when you need maximum
mobility for your hands with your baby safely tucked behind.

Safety-Hip Carry
An ideal position for
when you need "hands-free" in front with your child safely out of reaching
distance. This is a favorite position of the curious toddler who can peer
around your side and watch what you are doing. |
